Science and Mysticism again

so we can't really see reality, we can just see the impressions made by its interaction with our sensory apparatii, right? therefore, no idea is objectively true, but rather has the potential to be practically useful. so an idea is true insofar as it may be utilized to achieve a desired outcome. thus, thought is a tool, to be picked up and set down, reconfigured as deemed necessary and generally dispensed with however you see fit.
compare that to this definition of samadhi I stole from Wikipedia a long time ago and have already posted in the past: "...relinquishing a thought-identified form of mind, where a person identifies with his or her thought narrative, and shifting to a state of Enlightenment, where thoughts are merely a mental tool. In that state the default subjective experience is that of SILENCE. No unprovoked mental chatter whatsoever."

what i wonder is, once thought is just a tool to be wielded by your will, wouldn't that take some of the fun out of it?

Wow. This guy's come to the wrong place. I don't know anyone who's too stupid to get free porn anytime they want, and if he ever talked to anyone from my "user base" he'd probably have his relatively pure mind corrupted.
