Don't Mind Me
when i was 11 or 12, i learned that it was my decision whether or not to react to any given stimulus. when i say learned, i mean internalized and generalized to all of my functioning. pain no longer made me flinch.
it took a few years before i realized that life behind an invisible wall was pretty unfulfilling.
i've never gotten out from behind it.
