Working on Stuff

i'm making rubber mushrooms. it's harder than you'd think.
for example: just what is the best way to make a mold for gills? or the veil? how do i get the super-fine texture to show up? can i pull of two or three color pours without getting liquid rubber all over the carpet? and just how the hell am i going to get this floppy rubber to support its own weight?
there are many mysteries and challenges in the amazing world of rubber mushroom fabrication.
